Waiheke Vineyards

Waiheke has the perfect mico climate for growing grapes.  As a result we are lucky enough to now have many fabulous vineyards right here on the island.  What a great reason to visit.

1.  Cable Bay

Perched upon a West facing hill,  Cable Bay boosts great views back to Auckland City and Rangitoto Island.  Watching the sunset from Cable Bay should be on your to do list.  Cable Bay has a fine dining resturant as well as a more relaxed experience- the Verandah.  Cable Bay also has its own Organic Garden which supplies their Resturants with fresh produce.

2.  Mud Brick

One of the origional Vineyards on the Island,  The Mud Brick now has two Resturants,  Cellar Door,  Vineyard Tours and accomadation options avalible.  Situated at the North West end of the island it has a great view back to Auckland City and Rangitoto,  and is a lovely spot to watch the sun go down after dinner,  with a glass of wine.

3.  Jurassic Ridge

Jurassic Ridge is a famliy own and run vineyard at the Western end of the island.  Visit the Cellar Door for tastings.

Kennedy Point Vineyard

Kennedy Point Vineyard has a Cellar Door where you can find wine,  honey and olive oil.

Goldie Estate

Centraly located with a Cellar Door and Olive Grove,  Goldie Estate is a wonderful spot for a wedding,  or other celebration.

Tantalus,  located in the Onetangi Valley,  the newly renovated winery re-opened in November 2016.  There are lovely outdoor and indoor spaces to enjoy wine and beer tasting. 

Casita Miro

Set upon a hilltop overlooking Onetangi beach,  the award-winning Casita Miro Resturant feels like an enclosed pavilion overlooking the rows of vines.   The amazing food and wine are heavily influenced by Spain and the Mediterranean.
